David MacNeill was born in Providence, Rhode Island, and grew up living throughout various

regions in Maryland ranging from Annapolis, Columbia, and Maryland’s eastern shore where he

attended the police academy at the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy in Salisbury,

Maryland.

David and his wife moved further west to Harpers Ferry, West Virginia to start a life together in

the beauty of West Virginia’s eastern panhandle. David MacNeill brings a disciplined, results-

driven approach to real estate, shaped by his service as a U.S. Army infantryman, Firefighter,

and 17 years in law enforcement, serving most of that time as a Detective in Baltimore City.

Throughout his investigative career, he handled intense, complex cases that demanded

attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate challenging situations with

precision.

Today, David applies those same principles to real estate—guiding buyers, sellers, and

investors with a focus on strategy, integrity, and service. He understands how to assess risk,

negotiate effectively, and ensure his clients are positioned for the best possible outcome in

every transaction. Known for his straightforward communication and accountability, David

prioritizes protecting his clients’ interests while delivering a smooth, professional experience.

In addition to his investigative background, David has experience working within the design

industry, focusing on custom interiors and architecture. This work provided him with hands-on

exposure to high-end residential environments, including some of the most prestigious homes in

the region, further strengthening his understanding of quality, craftsmanship, and interior

spaces.

Outside of real estate, David stays closely connected to the region through his passion for the

ocean and the mountains. David spends free time mountain biking, regularly riding and racing

the trails throughout the Frederick, Maryland watershed, mountains of West Virginia and

surrounding Mid-Atlantic area, and enjoying the waves during visits to the coast. He also holds

formal education in photography with a degree in Communication Arts. David enjoys capturing

images with a focus on architecture, sports, nature and wildlife photography.
